Storyboarder uses VRoids (VRM files) as Character models. You can create your own VRoids for free using the beginner-friendly VRoid Studio, or choose from our library of ready-to-use characters to jumpstart your content creation!
VRoids are special character 3D models used as avatars for VTubing and VRchat. There is a huge community of VRoid creators and content creators.
VRoid Studio is a free character creator developed by Pixiv. It allows you to design fully rigged 3D characters with custom facial features, hairstyles, clothing, and more; no 3D modeling experience required.
For advanced customization—such as creating custom textures—you can use tools like Blender to further modify your characters.
Storyboarder currently only supports VRM 1.0 files exported from VRoid Studio. We’re actively working on VRM 0.0 support. Stay tuned to our announcements and stay connected through our Discord for updates!
